The Boys Season 2’s Trailer Is Here And It’s A Bloody One

The Boys Season 1 on Amazon Prime Video was a show unlike any other I’d seen before. It was a superhero show in which they were the bad guys and it was very violent indeed, and it looks like Season 2 is going to step things up a notch in that department.

Amazon Prime Video’s show looks to becoming one of my favourite TV shows of this year (behind the likes of Watchmen and maybe even Jack Ryan Season 2).

They haven’t wasted any time in getting The Boys Season 2 done and they’ve already released the second season’s trailer, and it looks like there’s going to be even more gore than there was in the first season.

That’s something considering how violent the first season was, and I’m really looking forward to it.

The show is based on a series of comic books written by Garth Ennis and co-created, designed, and illustrated by Darick Robertson.

Originally it was published by Wildstorm (DC Comics) but it then moved to Dynamite Entertainment.

The trailer for The Boys Season 2 is here (sort of…)

It makes for the perfect superhero TV show, and is the second comic by Garth Ennis to be made into a television show.

Ennis’ Preacher comic book series was also made into a very good TV show on AMC of the same name which was produced by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Sam Caitlin.

That show came to an end after Season 4 which finished back in September, so hopefully, The Boys will give us our Garth Ennis fix of brutal violence and interesting ideas.

The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hugh “Hughie” Campbell, Antony Starr as Homelander, Erin Moriarty as Starlight, Dominique McElligott as Queen Maeve, Jessie T. Usher as A-Train and Laz Alonso as Marvin.

It’s not confirmed when the show will land on Amazon Prime Video, but I expect it to be on the streaming platform around mid 2020.
