The Batman is going to be hitting cinemas in 2021, and Robert Pattinson is gearing up to start filming as the Dark Knight on Matt Reeves’ upcoming movie.
The film’s cast is pretty incredible, featuring the likes of Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrell as The Penguin and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon.
It seems as though The Batman is going to be one of the most interesting comic book movies made in a while, especially with Robert Pattinson in the lead as Batman, a.k.a. Bruce Wayne.
People went a bit mad when the casting was announced. Fans of Batman and DC Comics weren’t convinced that Pattinson was the right man to play the role.
I, on the other hand, was always pretty certain that R-Pats would make the perfect Batman and Bruce Wayne.
He’s proven himself to be an excellent actor over the years and really gets invested in the roles he plays.

It seems as though that is the case here, as he recently revealed during an interview with Empire Magazine (via Heroic Hollywood).
During this interview, the British actor revealed he really wants to push the character as far as he can and do some really crazy stuff in the role.
Here’s what he had to say about his Batman and Batman movie:
The only thing that’s more complicated is the rating. As soon as you make something an R-rated movie, you’re freed up to do so much stuff. In terms of the character itself, I want to push it as far as it possibly can go. And I think Matt Reeves does as well. You can do crazy stuff with that part.
It really does seem as though Robert Pattinson’s Batman is going to be one of the most interesting portrayals of Batman we’ve ever seen on the big screen.
I cannot wait to see this and I’m really looking forward to seeing The Batman.
