Terrifier 2 Passes $5 Million At The US Box Office

Terrifier 2 has been slashing the US box office to pieces! It’s been revealed that the small independent horror movie, which was written and directed by Damien Leone, has passed $5 million at the United States box office. This was revealed by Bloody Disgusting, and I am so happy to hear that this movie has been doing so well in cinemas.

So, the movie made an estimated $1.8 million last weekend. This means that the film has made a new total of $5.2 million at the United States box office. So, with these new numbers, it means that the movie is making an impressive $2,511 per theatre on average in the US! This is very special because the movie’s success at the box office is really down to the fans. Fans have been seeking the film out, and it seems as though they have been watching it over and over again.

You could describe Terrifier 2 as an ‘anti-Hollywood’ movie. There’s no studio money tied in the movie, meaning Leone could release the movie he wanted. The film hasn’t been cut by executive producers that think that all horror films should be under one hour and a half.

Leone’s film clocks in at a pretty lengthy 138-minutes, and it’s a completely uncut blood bath that will be remembered as one of the most brutal films of the decade.
