A New Superman Might Be Cast In The DCEU – But He Won’t Be Replacing Henry Cavill

It’s being reported that Warner Bros. Pictures might be casting a new Superman in the DCEU pretty soon, but also he won’t be replacing Henry Cavill.

I’ve made it very clear over the years how much I love Henry Cavill as Superman.

I’ve often said that he’s a brilliant Superman, he’s just been given rather poor material to work with.

That said, I do believe Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel is one of the best Superman movies ever made.

We’re now hearing rumours that Warner Bros. Pictures is looking to cast another actor a Superman.

However, We Got Thos Covered’s report does state that this new Superman wouldn’t be replacing Henry Cavill.

That said, they do state that this new version of the character will be in the DCEU films.

There is some sense to this, however, and it all has to do with the upcoming The Flash movie.

This Flash movie is going to be the movie that really introduces the Multiverse into the DCEU.

This means that there can be multiple versions of the same character.

Therefore, on one Earth, Henry Cavill can be Superman, and then there can be a different version of Superman on the other.

This ties in which the news I broke last week about Matthew Vaughn and Mark Millar working on a Superman: Red Son movie.

This film could actually be taking place on another Earth and therefore could still be connected to the DCEU.

There have also been rumours that Warner Bros. Pictures is looking to cast Michael B. Jordan as Superman.

This could be how they might end up doing it – by having him be Superman on another Earth.

What do you make of this rumour?

Do you really believe that Warner Bros. Pictures is looking to cast a new Superman in the DCEU?
