Stranger Things Season 5 Will Have A Time Jump

Stranger-Things-Season-5-To-Be-The-Show’s-Final-Season

It’s been revealed that Stranger Things Season 5 will begin with a time jump and this is actually a very good thing. Let me explain why in a moment.

First off, let’s go over where this news came from.

It was actually revealed by The Duffer Brothers themselves during an interview with TV Line.

Here’s what Ross Duffer had to say when he was asked whether Season 5 of the show will have a time jump:

I’m sure we will do a time jump. Ideally, we’d have shot [seasons 4 and 5] back to back, but there was just no feasible way to do that.

The Stranger Things cast are getting too old so Season 5 needs a time jump!

It’s actually really interesting to hear the Duffer Brothers admit this because for a long time now the Hawkins gang has been looking a bit older than the ages they’re supposed to be in the show.

It’s actually started to become so noticeable that people have been complaining a bit about it on Twitter.

Most of the original cast is now over 18 years old and they’re still supposed to be playing 14-year-olds.

It’s the same issue with the older kids who are supposed to be playing 17/18-year-olds in the show, but they are all clearly in their mid to late-twenties.

It’s an issue that a time jump would solve and I think it would be an interesting storytelling device for the final season.

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 is going to be released on July 1st.

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 and all other seasons of the show are available to stream on Netflix right now.
