Spider-Man: No Way Home Set To Break Box Office Records

Spider-Man–No-Way-Home-Set-To-Break-Box-Office-Records

It’s been revealed that Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to break box office records in its opening weekend. The movie is currently predicted to make over $200 million in its opening weekend in the United States alone.

It’s currently projected to be 2021’s biggest movie at the box office, which should really come as much of a surprise. This is very good news for Sony Pictures and also Marvel Studios, as the past few months/years haven’t been very kind to the movie industry.

Cinemas have been closed and movies have been pushed back, and then pushed back again. However, interest in Spider-Man: No Way Home is through the roof and people are just desperate to see the final movie in the Spider-Man ‘Home’ trilogy.

According to Box Office Pro, the film is projected to make over $200 million in its opening weekend, the first film to do so since Avengers: Endgame, which made an estimated $350 million during its opening weekend.

The movie single-handedly managed to cause websites such as Fandango and Regal in the US to crash due to the huge demand for Spider-Man: No Way Home cinema tickets. People are just desperate to see the film opening weekend.

It’ll be interesting to see whether the movie has a big drop off or not, but I’m predicting that it won’t. The movie’s early reviews are in and they are all saying the same thing: Spider-Man: No Way Home is a fan-pleaser.

This means that MCU and Spider-Man fans will undoubtedly go to see the film again and again in cinemas. This was very much the case with Avengers: Endgame, which ended up making most of its money through repeat viewings at the cinemas.

The fact that Spider-Man: No Way Home also features many of the old Spider-Man movie actors returning to their respective Spidey roles is a plus. The likes of Alfred Molina, Willem Dafoe and Jamie Fox will return to their roles as the villains Doc Ock, Green Goblin and Electro.

There are also rumours that the film will feature Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as their respective versions of Spider-Man. Then there’s actress Zendaya, actor Jacob Batalon and actor Benedict Cumberbatch who are reprising their roles as MJ, Ned and Doctor Strange respectively.
