So, when the first Sonic The Hedgehog trailer came out, people looked at it and thought, “What on Earth is that blue creature in this movie!”
I’m not going to lie, Sonic in the first Sonic The Hedgehog trailer looked like something out of a horror movie. It looked terrible.
The reaction to it was so bad that the film was delayed in order to them to go back and fix their hideous Sonic.
The film was originally scheduled to be released in the United States on November 8th, 2019.
However, Paramount decided to delay Jeff Fowler’s film to February 14th, 2020, in order to make sure they had the best possible version of Sonic in their movie.
So, this new trailer’s been released, and yes, Sonic looks a heck of a lot better. Perfect in fact.
However, the movie still looks a bit ‘meh’.
Sonic The Hedgehog’s redesign looks good, but the film still looks pants…
It stars James Marsden as Sheriff Tom Wachowski, who’s the person who finds and befriends Sonic in the movie, and I don’t know why these types of video game movies still do this sort of thing.
They’re constantly setting the video game characters in the real world and having them find a human and befriend them and then they help each other out.
I’ve never seen a video game movie of this type which is completely set in the main character’s world and it’s really frustrating.
The closest we came was Detective Pikachu, and even in that movie, Pikachu’s best buddy was a human character.
It seems as though this movie won’t be any different, and that’s sad because I loved Sonic as a kid, and I still love the video games.
Sonic The Hedgehog does also star Jim Carrey as Doctor Robotnik, and I’ll watch him in anything, but I’m sure that even he won’t be able to save this movie.
