Deadpool’s Creator Blames Marvel Studios For Why There’s No Deadpool 3

Deadpool 2’s Plot Synopsis Is Suitably Bonkers And Hilarious

Deadpool’s creator, Rob Liefeld, recently opened up about why we haven’t heard any new details on Deadpool 3 and suggested it’s all Marvel’s fault.

We’ve been waiting for Deadpool 3 to be officially confirmed by Marvel Studios for what seems like ages now.

Ryan Reynolds and the movies’ writers have said some things about the film, but there’s been no word from Marvel themselves.

Rob Liefeld recently spoke to ComicBook.com about a whole load of stuff, but he also opened up about Deadpool 3.

During the interview, he revealed why he thought the movie isn’t officially in development yet, and he blamed Marvel.

He was pretty open during the interview, as he tends to be.

Here’s what he told ComicBook.com about Deadpool 3 and why it hasn’t been made yet:

I blame Marvel…blame Marvel that that hasn’t happened yet.

They are the reason it isn’t happening. Whatever conundrum or it didn’t fit into your master plan, just commission it. Okay, commission it.

You know if Frank Frazetta was still around, you would say, ‘Frank paint for me.’

Liefeld never holds back, and he really thinks Marvel’s to blame.

They could very well be. If there were to give Deadpool 3 the greenlight, it would Marvel’s first-ever R-rated movie.

It would also serve up complications as far as the rest of the MCU is concerned due to Deadpool’s meta nature.
