New Alien Series To Feel Like Part Of The Film Franchise

It’s been revealed that Noah Hawley’s upcoming Alien series that he’s making for FX will feel like part of the Alien film franchise.

This news was revealed by John Landgraf, the head of FX, who shared this during a TCA presentation last Friday.

It was reported on by Deadline which is where I managed to snag his quote from.

But, before I go into what Landgraf had to say on FX’s upcoming Alien series, I wanted to talk a little bit about the show first.

It was announced that this show was in the works during 2020’s Disney Investor’s Presentation.

For me, personally, it was the announcement that gave me the most shivers (good shivers) because I love Alien.

I also love Noah Hawley and the work he’s done on shows such as Fargo and Legion, which are both utterly brilliant series.

Right, that’s enough of me babbling on about how much I love Alien and Hawley.

Here’s what FX’s boss had to say about the show:

I think Noah’s very conscious of the fact that there’s a cinematic universe. I think you’ll also see that the show will feel like a part of the cinematic universe you’re familiar with in terms of Alien. I have optimism that that show may well roll out in 2023. It will probably roll out 2023, but we want to get it right.
