There are some pretty awesome video games coming out in the next two years! The most significant summer events are over, so it’s time to take stock of the interim results. What have developers had time to show over the past couple of weeks, what releases will we be watching for, and what will we be playing soon?

Summer shows this year were modest, but significant projects were somehow or other. About them, we will talk. Let’s touch only on those which were either recently unveiled or revealed some crucial details. If you want new games right now, 3 Patti from the top online casinos can please you.

  • Release Date: Early Access Spring 2023.
  • Platforms: PC, Xbox Series, Xbox One.

This video game is practically Farming Simulator, only futuristic, with your mech instead of a tractor. Unfortunately, the team makes a big bet on peaceful gameplay, so those who want to fight should look for something else on this list.

We will have to walk around the world, look for secrets, mine minerals, cut down trees, and build our settlement with a vegetable garden (for which, of course, you must also keep an eye). You can do all this charm either alone or with friends.

Scorn

  • Release date: October 21st, 2022.
  • Platforms: PC and Xbox Series.

A biomechanical living world, the toothy jaws of enemies, columns of muscle and bone – Scorn absorbs quite a few things, from medical manuals to nature documentaries. But primarily the work of Hans Giger, best known for his designs for the movie Alien.

Gameplay-wise, Scorn will be closest to modern Resident Evil: you are not a harmless victim, but you will only take up weapons in the last place – to save bullets. You’ll also have to memorize the world because you’ll have to return to the places you’ve been to more than once or twice.

The Callisto Protocol

  • Release date: December 2nd, 2022.
  • Platforms: PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One.

Glen Schofield’s game from the first trailer attracted attention, but only now do we understand what is waiting for us in December – the new Dead Space. No kidding, the project by the author of “Dead Space” doesn’t try to hide its roots, but rather, on the contrary, it focuses on them.

The difference between the two games still exists:

  • The Callisto Protocol is much slower and “weightier.”
  • The opponents faintly resemble necromorphs.
  • The weapons are much closer to the more familiar “Earth” counterparts.

In addition, Scofield is trying to do something interesting with close combat – for this introduced electric baton and dodges.

And about the rest, we will learn after we play.

Forza Motorsport (2023)

  • Release date: spring 2023.
  • Platforms: PC, Xbox Series.

Once Forza Motorsport was conceived as a competitor to one of Sony’s most famous video games, Gran Turismo – a hardcore driving simulator with many cars, tracks, and nuances of the cars’ physics. However, by the release of the fifth part, the series had become a prevalent race, and even the favourite trio from Top Gear and The Grand Tour – Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May – were invited to talk about the iconic cars.

Since then, all of a sudden, the arcade and fun Forza Horizon with more simple physics, lots of rewards, and a festive atmosphere have taken the palm of the game. Forza Motorsport was forgotten for the full five years, but the series perhaps returns with the most ambitious game in the franchise.

The restart will feature the change of days and nights on all the tracks, racing in the gameplay, and a realistic system of damage and the channels will be recreated with the help of 3D scanning and photogrammetry. The authors didn’t forget about the physics: the air temperature will affect the car’s behaviour, and the driving mechanics became 48 times more detailed than before.

We are waiting for a worthy competitor Gran Turismo 7, and Microsoft has an excellent chance to take over the leadership in the long-established genre.

The Last of Us: Part 1

  • Release Date: September 2nd, 2022.
  • Platforms: PS5 (later on PC).

It is unlikely that many people wanted to see a remake of the game nine years ago, but if any hit game deserves this honour, it is The Last of Us. And the reasons here are not entirely obvious.

The first part has a lot of problems with gameplay – there are one-cell stealth and primitive battles. However, these aspects have been extensively refined in the sequel, making the game incredibly interesting just because of the gameplay. And this is what they plan to introduce in the remake.

It is clear that visually and technically, The Last of Us: Part 1 will become almost a sister to The Last of Us: Part 2, but for the integrity of this, not even bad. It has already been released, but reviews have yet to form.

Final Fantasy 16

  • Release date: Summer 2023.
  • Platforms: PS5 (later on PC).

It is the most ambitious and exciting Final Fantasy game in memory. The creators of Final Fantasy 14, which now quite rightly draws the audience for World of Warcraft and other modern MMORPGs, took up the creation of a single Final Fantasy. Setting that chose a somewhat familiar – the Middle Ages with magic.

Events unfold in a world called Valistea. Six factions have lived in peace and harmony for many years. Of particular significance here are the so-called Mother Crystals – they are towering on the mountains and give the inhabitants a special blessing.

However, by the time the events of Final Fantasy 16 began to unfold, a plague began to spread around the crystals – Pestilence. As a result, the world’s situation started escalating, and all countries were already preparing for a confrontation. We play as a prince of one of the kingdoms who sets out to avenge a tragedy in his family.

Final Fantasy 16 gameplay is most reminiscent of the slasher – and for a good reason, because the battles here are the responsibility of one of the key developers of Devil May Cry 5.

Dragon’s Dogma 2

  • Release date: unknown (rumoured to be in early 2023).
  • Platforms: unknown (rumoured PS5, Xbox Series, and PC).

The long-awaited sequel to the acclaimed role-playing action game is remembered for its excellent combat system and ability to climb large enemies in the spirit of Shadow of the Colossus.

However, the most non-trivial was the system of pawns – these are helpless characters that are fully submissive to the player and are willing to give their lives for him. These are the assistants with their unique skills.

The announcement itself was a bit comic – in the video for the 10th anniversary of the first part, in the end, the developers showed T-shirts with the logo of the sequel and confirmed that they are working on it. That’s all.

Starfield

  • Release date: early 2023.
  • Platforms: PC and Xbox Series.

But in all seriousness, it’s just a game by Todd Howard and his team at Bethesda Game Studios about space exploration. The handwriting of the developers is recognizable from the first seconds.

Starfield has a massive world with hundreds of solar systems and 1,000 planets to explore – you can land on each. In this case, you wish more plots would pass 40 hours. Modest against the backdrop of RPG ambitions.

At the same time, Starfield continues the development of ideas from Fallout 4 – here, for example, much more attention is paid to construction. You build your colony and then hire people to look after it. Parallel to this, and you still have to customize your ship – here, the team took inspiration from FTL: Faster Than Light.

The saddest thing is that, although the player can land anywhere on the planet, personally being at the ship’s helm at the moment of takeoff or landing on the earth will not be given. The process is automated.

But in general – you what, it’s a game from the creators of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim and Fallout 4. So, of course, we’re waiting! Which video games are you most looking forward to playing in 2022 and 2023? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
