When Will Money Heist Season 5 Be Released? Has Netflix Renewed The Show?

People are now finishing their binge-watch session of Money Heist Season 4, and they now what to know when Season 5’s release date will be.

I would argue that Money Heist is one of the best shows on Netflix right now.

It’s no surprise that it was recently revealed to be one of the world’s most popular shows not in the English language.

Money Heist Season 4 was viewed by over 64 million people worldwide in its first ten days on the streaming platform.

it outperformed Tiger King and that’s no mean feat considering how popular that show has been.

Money Heist, known as La Casa De Papel in Spain (directly translated to The House of Paper in English) has taken the world by storm.

People have come to the end of their binge-watching session of the new season of the show.

They’re now asking themselves when Season 5 will end up on Netflix.

Will there even be a Season 5 on Money Heist, and if so, when will its release date be?

The short answer is yes, there will be a Money Heist Season 5.

This news comes from La Vanguardia which claims that series director Jesús Colmenar said to them: “That there is going to be a fifth [part] can be said.”

Colmenar went on to suggest the show could get its own spinoff series.

He said: “We do have many possibilities for some spinoffs, yes, and I think that’s thanks to the strong and powerful identities of the characters.

“We’ve always looked for characters to have a very complex, layered design.”

Elsewhere, Spanish website Marca has also suggested that Netflix has already agreed to Seasons 5 and 6 of the show.

That said, script coordinator Javier Gómez Santander told El Mundo they’re just focusing on one season at a time.

He said: “With La Casa De Papel, we go game by game, like Simeone.

“Chapter by chapter, sequence by sequence, line by line.”

Meanwhile, Money Heist’s creator Alex Pina has talked about where he’s thinking the franchise might go next.

Pina told OprahMag.com : “We do have many possibilities for some spin-offs, yes, and I think that’s thanks to the strong and powerful identities of the characters.

“We’ve always looked for characters to have a very complex, layered design.

“So I think almost every character of Money Heist has a duality that we would like to see in a spinoff.

“We could watch any of them in other contexts.”

I quite like the idea of a Money Heist spinoff show, but I’m going to be honest, I would rather see them make more great seasons of the main show.

As for who will star in Money Heist Season 5, I’d expect most of the cast to return.

Before going on any further, I just want to make it clear that there will be a huge spoiler for Money Heist Season 4 coming up.

So, don’t say you haven’t been warned.

The big thing to happen in Season 4 is Nairobi’s death.

This means that Alba Flores won’t be returning for Season 5.

However, the rest should be. That means Úrsula Corberó will return as Tokio.

Álvaro Morte will be back as El Profesor.

He should be joined by Itziar Ituño as Lisbon, Miguel Herrán as Río, Jaime Lorente as Denver, Esther Acebo as Stockholmo, Darko Peric as Helsinki and Enrique Arce as Arturo Román (who’s still annoyingly around).
