Marvel’s What If Season 2 To Riff Off MCU Phase 4 Movies

The second season of What If…? will include storylines from Phase 4 of the MCU.

In an interview with Screen Rant, Kevin Feige confirmed that the animated show will focus on storylines from upcoming films.

With much of Phase 4 has yet to reach our screens, given what we have seen so far, this news offers up exciting possibilities.

Thanks to the shenanigans of Loki, we know that the Multiverse is going to be a big part of the MCU going forward.

When asked about what is in store for season 2 of What If…?, Feige teased:

That’s the fun thing about having the What If…? series now, we can explore questions just like that. And I will say, just as Season 1 is tapping into films and storylines from the MCU that you’ve seen up to this point, Season 2 will definitely incorporate movies from Phase 4.

With the TV side of the MCU now in full swing, and with Black Widow having been released, Phase 4 is now definitely in full swing.

The release of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is imminent.

Meanwhile, Eternals and Spider-Man: No Way Home are still to come this year.

It is still very early in Phase 4, but given what we’ve seen already, I can’t wait to see what Marvel comes up with for Season 2 of What If…?
