It seems as though there is some major Star Wars news that will be announced on May 26th during an upcoming Star Wars Celebration panel.

This news was revealed by Lucasfilm who recently announced that Star Wars Celebration was back on after being postponed during the pandemic.

So, Lucasfilm just announced that on May 26th, which will be the first day of Star Wars Celebration, there’ll be a panel that will open the festival.

Lucasfilm revealed that this panel will feature “Lucasfilm’s current crop of live-action filmmakers.”

The statement continued: “These filmmakers will be joined by special guests to discuss the many Star Wars adventures coming soon, including Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, and The Mandalorian.”

The keyword you should all take note of in this statement is “including”, which means that we should expect to hear news about what’s to come in the Star Wars universe.

Yes, we will hear stuff about Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor and The Mandalorian.

However, I would expect to hear more stuff about the Ahsoka Tano and The Acolyte shows.

There could also be news about the future Star Wars movies.

What major news could be revealed at Star Wars Celebration?

It was revealed by Kathleen Kennedy during the Disney Investor’s Day presentation that Taika Waititi and Patty Jenkins were working on future Star Wars films.

Waititi’s movie is still untitled, but Jenkins’ film is going to be Star Wars: Rogue Squadron.

That movie is still officially in production, but we’ve heard very little about it since Kennedy’s announcement.

We still don’t know what’s going on with Rian Johnson’s supposed Star Wars trilogy.

There were also reports that Marvel Studios’ President, Kevin Feige, was going to be making a Star Wars movie.

All we’ve heard about that movie since the reports came to light was that Feige had enlisted the help of Loki and Doctor Strange 2 writer, Michael Waldron.

Star Wars Celebration takes place May 26-May 28 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA.

Tickets are still on sale right now if you want to attend and be in the room when this news is revealed.
