Kevin Feige Has Teased The Introduction Of Nova To The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Marvel President, Kevin Feige, has teased the introduction of Nova to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He revealed this during a recent interview on ComicBook.com’s podcast, Phase Zero.

Nova is a pretty big deal as far as Marvel’s comic book characters are concerned. He first appeared in his own series and has also been a supporting character in team books such as The New Warriors.

He is a member of the intergalactic police force known as the Nova Corps, for which he gained superhuman abilities including enhanced strength, flight and resistance to injury. It sounds like he might be coming to the MCU at some point in the future.

Here’s what Feige said when he was asked whether Nova could be introduced to the MCU as a supporting character or in his own movie:

Yes.

Fiege also replied “yes” when he was asked whether Richard Rider would be used, or if it would be his younger counterpart, Sam Alexander. However, they might be a few years away from being introduced to the MCU.

“Timing is relative, right?,” continued Feige. “I think I’d been talking about Doctor Strange eight years before that movie came out. So, ‘immediate potential’ is relative. But clearly, we are not shying away from the cosmic end of storytelling right in the sweet spot of the Nova Corps and Nova himself.”
