Two Jonathan Majors Assault Allegations Recanted

Recent developments show that charges against Marvel Studios star Jonathan Majors may be dropped soon as two assault allegations are now recanted. It is definitely a challenging weekend that has passed for the rising star actor and thanks to his lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, these wrinkles to his name may soon be ironed out.

For all actors, celebrities of any industry for that matter, reputation is the most valuable currency. Sometimes, a single phrase uttered incorrectly will cost a professional his or her entire life’s work. And for some, they can’t take it all back.

With the events that transpired before his arrest last Saturday, Majors may have likely wished he was a being of the fifth dimension. That way, he could revert to the time when it all began and prevent any incident that may have been misinterpreted or misconstrued.

However, much to the hard work of the people supporting and defending the actor, proof of his innocence is soon ready and can solidify his claim that he has done nothing wrong.

Priya Chaudhry, a criminal defence lawyer for Jonathan Majors, has told The Direct:

Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is provably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows. We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently.

It is a relief that they will be able to prove that Majors is innocent. Fortunately, there are currently available technologies that provide verifiable proof and they only need to have this ready and present a clear picture depicting the moments of the alleged assault. Lawyer Chaudhry itemised:

This evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode, and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations. All the evidence proves that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent and did not assault her whatsoever.

Probably the strongest among the itemized pieces of evidence are the video footage from the vehicle where everything took place primarily, and the two written statements recanting the allegations. From these two, there already will be solid proof of Majors’ innocence.

The next question will be, who now bears the burden of truth? Hopefully, the following proceedings will not lead to that situation as the side of Jonathan Majors mean to present their proof in order to immediately render the allegations untrue and, therefore Majors’ name be cleared from any suspicion.

To shed some explanation as to why the situation escalated the way it did, the lawyer stated:

Unfortunately, this incident came about because this woman was having an emotional crisis, for which she was taken to a hospital yesterday. The NYPD is required to make an arrest in these situations, and this is the only reason Mr. Majors was arrested. We expect these charges to be dropped soon.
