Joker 2's Lady Gaga Sued For Not Paying Her Dogs' Kidnapper

In quite a bit of madness, Joker 2′s Harley Quinn Lady Gaga is being sued for not paying her dog’s kidnapper upon their return. This development makes one wonder who is the true victim and what exactly is the lesson here? Before the discussion turns into a more technical discourse on law and qualified dues, we need to look at how outlandish this lawsuit is.

Everything begins with the act of kidnapping Lady Gaga’s dogs, Koji and Gustav, back in February 2021. The two dogs were taken at gunpoint where their dog walker Ray Fischer suffered critical wounds. The dognappers also left Fischer injured, rendering him in need of medical treatment after the altercation.

After the incident, Lady Gaga offered a $500,000 reward to anyone who could safely return her two dogs. In the offer, the upcoming Harley Quinn in Todd Phillips’ Joker 2 even stated that there would be “no questions asked”.

Two days after the shooting and dog kidnapping incident, Jennifer McBride brought the dogs to the police station. Later, the police determined a connection between her and one of the perpetrators’ fathers. Apparently, McBride is in a relationship with Harold White at the time. White is the father of Jaylin White, who was with James Jackson and Lafayette Whaley during the robbery and shooting.

By April, all five suspects were arrested in connection with the violent dognapping of Koji and Gustav, during which Ray Fischer suffered a gunshot and got critically injured.

A report from People states that Jennifer McBride is suing Lady Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, for breach of contract, fraud by false promise and fraud by misrepresentation. McBride got representation and had an attorney to file the lawsuit against Lady Gaga for not paying the $500,000 reward she promised “without questions asked” for anyone who could return her dogs.

According to McBride’s attorney, because Lady Gaga stated “no questions asked” with the reward offer and then failing to pay, the music icon actually committed a breach of contract, fraud by false promise and fraud by misrepresentation.

with the intent to defraud and induce members of the public, such as Plaintiff, to rely upon it and to act upon said promise by locating and delivering Lady Gaga’s bulldogs to Defendants.

The point she was bearing weight on is that she located and returned the bulldogs and is thus eligible for the $500K reward that Germanotta promised. However, later during the investigation, police determined she and White’s father as accessories after the initial crime.

As incredulous as this is, some say the plaintiff could have a case. All because Lady Gaga said she would grant the reward with “no questions asked”.

Still, the police have determined that McBride is connected to the crime. In a report from KTLA, she and Jaylin White’s father, Harold, tried to help Jaylin avoid getting arrested after the shooting.

While many are debating whether Lady Gaga could really end up defending herself in court or not, the fact remains that she was the first one to be the victim – particularly Ray Fischer, who is under her employ.

There is one comment which made quite an interesting solution which, I think, can address all conditions. She can pay the $500K reward as she did promise it “without question”. However, she did promise, but not with specific details on how she will pay. She can pay in terms she will dictate. Like $1 a day for the rest of McBride’s life until the $500K is paid off.

Moreover, as a separate lawsuit, Lady Gaga can sue McBride for emotional damage or something she can file and demand at least $1M as compensation.
