Joker 2 Script To Be Written By Todd Phillips

It’s being reported that Todd Phillips is currently working on the script for the Joker sequel, aka Joker 2, which is interesting news.

This report comes to us via The Hollywood Reporter, and I really hope this is the case.

The first Joker movie, I thought, was an incredible film.

It ended up winning an Oscar for Joaquin Phoenix and deservedly so.

There have been rumours that Joker 2 is happening for quite some time now.

However, there’s been no official announcement as of yet.

This still isn’t an ‘official announcement that the sequel is actually in the works.

However, it’s the closest we’ve had and it’s basically confirmation that Phillips is working on a Joker sequel.

Now, whether Warner Bros. Pictures ends up going for it is another story.

Here’s what The Hollywood Reporter had to say on the matter:

Todd Phillips struck a deal to co-write the next Joker installment.

It’ll be interesting to see who Todd Phillips is writing the Joker 2 script with.

He wrote the first movie with Scott Silver who also wrote the scripts of The Finest Hours, The Fighter and 8 Mile.

I would like to see the two of them work on the Joker 2 script together again, but it’s not certain that will happen just yet.
