Johnny Depp Accepts An Award While Posing Behind Bars In A Very Odd Photo

Johnny Deep was recently given the award for The Actor With Unique Visual Sensitivity from the Cameraimage festival in Poland. He wasn’t able to accept the trophy in person, yet he did send a picture of him holding it whilst being behind bars.

The picture was taken in the Bahamas where it seems he’s spending lockdown, which is nice. He also accompanied this rather strange picture with a very nice message for the people who gave him the award.

The award was for his upcoming film Minamata, which also was the festival’s closing picture. In his thank-you note, Depp revealed he was “honoured and humbled” to receive the award. He also revealed that he’d worked with many great cinematographers over the course of his career.

Depp also added: “The relationship between the actor and the cinematographer is a pivotal one. You might even say the most important, considering cinema, more than anything, is a visual medium.”

This comes straight after Johnny Depp lost his libel case against The Sun in the UK. They labelled the actor as a “wife-beater” in one of their articles and Depp was trying to clear his name.

However, the judge ruled against him, and Depp’s since been asked to step down from the role of Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts 3. He was also likened to Harvey Weinstein by a supposed ‘expert’ in a recent Insider article. I think he might have ground to sue based on what was said in that article by Neama Rahmani, a former federal prosecutor.
