It’s official! Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker’s next trailer will be released next week, Monday to be exact.
There were rumours that this might be the case, but nothing was made official just yet, until John Boyega’s agent told everybody.
We’re only two months away from release now, and fans are desperate to see more of Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker before it hits cinemas.
Star Wars movies in the past have all released trailers towards the end of October, so we were expecting one soon.
All we’ve had so far is the very first trailer which ended with Palpatine’s sinister cackle.
This had fans begging for more. We had so many unanswered questions, and I’m going to be honest, that’s perfectly fine.
Personally, I wouldn’t mind if we didn’t see anything of the movie until it’s released, yet Disney still has to market the film to those people who aren’t as into Star Wars as I am.
Some lucky fans got to see footage of the upcoming film at Star Wars Celebration in Chicago and D23 Expo earlier this year.
This had other fans who couldn’t go to those events asking when they’d get to watch what the other fans had seen.
Thanks to a new social media post from John Boyega’s agent, Femi Oguns, it seems as though we now know when the next trailer will drop.
The agent took to Instagram on Thursday to share a graphic of the film alongside the Monday Night Football logo, with a caption that read: “the next [The Rise of Skywalker] trailer [is] out Monday. It’s official.”

So, this means we should all expect the next trailer to drop on Monday, the 14th of October.
Some people believed it would be premiering on October 21st, because two more popular American Football teams would be playing then, and it will be Carrie Fisher’s birthday.
Oguns might actually be referring to the 21st here. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker will hit UK cinemas on 19th December 2019.
