Morbius is coming out in cinemas worldwide this week and critics have completely and utterly slammed the Jared Leto film before its release.

The movie has been delayed, and was then delayed again a few times, and this week it’s finally coming out.

However, it seems as though all of those delays didn’t result in the movie getting any better.

If you’re to take a look at the film’s rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it currently sits at 18% with critics after 84 reviews which is pretty darn terrible.

The movie’s review embargo has now lifted, and the critics really, really hated this movie – almost all of them.

I really struggled to find a positive review of the movie, which is really saying something.

I’d be really interested in finding out what Small Screen LIVE! co-host, Clint Baker, thought of Morbius.

Clint has the rather unfortunate reputation of living everything, but something tells me that even Clint might not be able to see positives in Jared Leto’s Morbius.

Here are some of the reviews of the movie:

The A.V. Club:

A bland, competent, and safe superhero adventure that seems destined to be forgotten before its end credits finish rolling.

The Independent:

If superhero movies really are going to dominate modern cinema for the next decade or so, we should at least be allowed a little healthy competition between studios. I hope, in the future, Sony can put up a better fight than this.

Variety:

The entire movie, directed by Daniel Espinosa from a script by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, is generic — naggingly, almost jarringly so. You watch it and think, “This is what now passes for a new Marvel chapter?

Rolling Stone:

Is Morbius the worst Marvel movie ever made? In an alternate universe without The New Mutants, the answer would likely be yes.
