Indiana Jones 5 Rumoured To Feature A De-Aged Harrison Ford And The Fountain Of Youth

It’s being rumoured that Indiana Jones 5 could feature the Fountain of Youth and a de-aged Harrison Ford. This rumour comes to us from Pirates And Princesses.

There have been all sorts out rumours about this upcoming Indiana Jones movie. What we do know is that it’ll be Harrison Ford’s last time playing the character, and it’ll be directed by James Mangold.

This was revealed by Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy as the Disney Investor’s Day presentation back in 2020. Mangold is an excellent choice and made some of my favourite movies of all time: Logan, 3:10 To Yuma and Walk The Line. He also made Identity, which is pretty darn good!

Anyway, according to Pirates And Princesses (still, I find an odd name for a site, but I guess it’s all about things Disney-related), Indiana Jones 5 will feature a de-aged Harrison Ford and the Fountain Of Youth. I’m not on board with the de-aged thing, but hopefully, it’ll be for a flashback sequence.

What I do love is the idea that Indiana Jones will be having to search for the Fountain Of Youth. That’s a much better thing to be searching for than that strange crystal in the last movie. That was awful.

According to this supposed leak, the film will begin with Jones “learning of vials of immortal water from either the Fountain of Youth or the immortal peaches”. They go on to say that Indy will be a retired archaeologist and married Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen) after the last movie. However, he’ll be dragged out of retirement to chase this mystical water on an abandoned ship in the Bermuda Triangle.

Do we want a de-aged Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones 5…?

Apparently, he’ll drink some of the water, which is where the de-aged Harrison Ford scenes will come in. According to the leak, most of the film will feature the younger version of Indiana Jones. This is where I start to really question to legitimacy of this ‘leak’. The film will reportedly end with Jones rejecting his newfound youth, becoming old again, and will ride off into the sunset.

However, Pirates and Princesses’ scoop doesn’t end there. They’re claiming that the end of the movie will cut to children at a museum, surrounding a window which contains Jones’ personal effects: his legendary hat and whip.
