Amber Heard Not Fired From Aquaman 2 – Many Of Her Scenes Are Cut
It’s been revealed to us by sources close to Warner Bros. Pictures that Amber Heard hasn’t been fired from Aquaman 2.
However, we were told that her scenes are in the process of being pretty drastically cut from the movie.
We also contacted Amber Heard’s publicists for comment on the reports that she’s been fired from the upcoming Aquaman movie.
I’ll go into what they had to say on the matter in a bit.
First off, I wanted to go over where these reports claiming that Amber Heard had been fired from Aquaman 2 came from.
They actually came from an article published in Forbes.
The article in question was written by Keith Flamer and was actually about Emilia Clarke selling her $4.4 million home in Venice, California.
It looks like Amber Heard hasn’t been fired from Aquaman 2
Buried within that article was the following sentence:
She [Emilia Clarke] also signed on to replace Amber Heard as Mera in Aquaman 2.
There were issues with this article, the first being that Flamer isn’t actually an entertainment reporter.
It seems as though he read a few reports and thought they were true.
The second is that this was the first we heard about Emilia Clarke replacing Amber Heard in Aquaman 2.
So, I reached out to both Emilia Clarke and Amber Heard’s publicists.
Clarke’s declined to comment, yet Heard’s had this to say:
We can categorically deny the rumours that Amber Heard is no longer attached to Aquaman 2.
Amber Heard is still attached to Aquaman 2
So, that’s a pretty strong denial of the reports Heard had been fired.
I then reached out to one of my sources with close ties to Warner Bros. Pictures, and they had this to say about the rumour that Heard had been fired from Aquaman 2:
Heard is still playing Mera in Aquaman 2. They are cutting a lot of here scenes in the movie. She’s in a dangerous position and could still be removed from the film.
This all comes after it had been reported that Amber Heard’s contract on Aquaman 2 had been terminated for health and fitness reasons.
This report came to us from the Australian media outlet, Sausage Roll.
It seems as though those reports are not quite correct.
Amber Heard is on ‘dangerous’ ground
That said, it doesn’t mean that there aren’t issues between Heard and Warner Bros. Pictures.
It’s been stated on numerous occasions that Amber Heard and James Wan are very close.
There were even reports that Amber Heard was getting her own HBO Max Mera spinoff series.
I asked my source about those rumours, and they denied that the show was happening, stating that “those reports are false”.
What do you make of this news? What do you think is going to happen between Amber Heard and Warner Bros. Pictures?
