It’s now being rumoured that Evan Peters’ Quicksilver is going to be turning up in the next episode of WandaVision on Disney Plus. This means that he’ll technically be the first X-Men to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This rumour comes to us from FandomWire, who are reporting it as an exclusive. However, we’ll reserve judgement on this until it’s ‘officially’ confirmed. That said, I’m pretty sure this will happen because it’s been rumoured for quite some time now.
FandomWire is claiming that it won’t be Aaron Taylor Johnson’s version of the Marvel character who’ll come back in WandaVision, but Peters’. This is an interesting twist, and it could open up the MCU to the Multiverse.
WandaVision could feature Evan Peters’ Quicksilver
Here’s what FandomWire’s Andy Signore had to say about Evan Peters’ Quicksilver making an appearance in WandaVision:
The events in WandaVision will set up Marvel’s multiverse. And in doing so, we can confirm exclusively that the series will be bringing back a huge surprise character in Quicksilver. That’s right folks, Quicksilver is coming back into the MCU via WandaVision. But we’re not talking about the Quicksilver played by Aaron Taylor Johnson. No, this surprise is even more epic as WandaVision will be bringing in X-Men’s Evan Peters as Quicksilver.
