Netflix Cancels La Révolution Season 2 After A Successful First Season

It’s been revealed that Netflix has opted to cancel La Révolution and not make a Season 2 despite the first season being pretty successful. This news was revealed by French movie website, AlloCiné.

This news was revealed during an interview AlloCiné did with Damien Couvreur who is the person that’s helped pioneer Netflix’s Original French content over the past five years. He was being interviewed especially about Lupin, which is Netflix’s latest hit. However, he also spoke about La Révolution Season 2.

He actually revealed during the interview that we will not be getting a La Révultion Season 2, which I actually think is a huge shame. I loved the first season of La Révolution because it was a pretty unique if a bit bonkers series.

Netflix has cancelled La Révolution which means there’ll be no Season 2

Here’s what Couvreur had to say when he was asked about La Révolution and how well it performed:

The Revolution has indeed attracted many members beyond France. For us, this is proof that France, its history and its heritage, can interest an international audience. However, we are not going to renew the series for a second season, because although it has aroused curiosity, the public did not find what they wanted.

So, yep. It’s officially. We’re not getting a La Révoltuion Season 2, which means that we’ll never get to find out how this story was going to end.
