Edge Of Tomorrow 2 Might Not Happen Says Emily Blunt

It looks like our hopes of ever seeing Edge Of Tomorrow 2 have been dashed by none other than Emily Blunt.

She revealed in a recent interview on The Howard Stern Show that she highly doubts the movie will ever get off the ground.

Why, you ask? Because it would just be too expensive to make.

We’re living in an almost post-pandemic world, and it does seem as though the movie industry’s been hit very hard indeed.

Studios are really struggling, especially the likes of Warner Bros. Pictures and they would be the studio who would make this Edge Of Tomorrow sequel.

I’ve explained about what’s been going on inside Warner Bros. Pictures over the last few months.

It seems as though the inner turmoil isn’t just affecting DC Comics movies.

It’s also affecting movies such as Edge Of Tomorrow 2.

Anyway, here’s what Emily Blunt had to say when she was asked about Edge Of Tomorrow 2:

Honestly, I think the movie is too expensive. I just don’t know how we’re going to do it.

It does sound as though the sequel would be just too expensive for Warner Bros. Pictures to make right now.

The first film has a lot of fans – myself included – but, it didn’t do all that well at the box office.

I would love to see a sequel, but I’m not sure it would be economically viable for WB to make it.

The likes of Blunt and Tom Cruise don’t come cheap, and it would be an expensive film to make given the amount of visual effects it would require.

There has been talk of a script for Edge Of Tomorrow 2 knocking around Hollywood.

Maybe, one day, someone will pick it up and get this film made.
