It’s being rumoured that Anthony Mackie could be turning up as Captain America in the upcoming Black Panther 2 MCU movie.
This rumour comes to us from Giant Freakin Robot, who are claiming that he will have a small part in the movie.
Now, for those of you who watched The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, you’ll know that Sam (played by Anthony Mackie), is now officially Captain America.
He was given the shield by Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) at the end of Avengers: Endgame.
However, it wasn’t an easy transition for him to accept that he was the right person to take on the shield and the mantle of Captain America.
We already know that a Captain America 4 is in the works and it’ll feature Anthony Mackie as Cap.
However, it sounds like he’ll also be turning up in other upcoming MCU movies, such as Black Panther 2.

This news comes after it was officially revealed that the upcoming Black Panther sequel will be called, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
I love that name, and it sounds like Wakanda might be facing difficult times ahead.
The movie is being written by Ryan Coogler who will also be directing the picture.
He made the first Black Panther film which was a huge success.
However, with Chadwick Boseman’s tragic passing in 2020, the sequel was put through a loop.
Coogler and Marvel Studios have been working out how they can proceed with the Black Panther franchise.
It sounds as though they’ve come up with something now, and I have faith in Coogler and Marvel that they tackle the transition tastefully and respectfully.
