Doom Patrol Season 3 Rumoured To Introduce The Dead Boy Detectives

Right, so it looks like Doom Patrol Season 3 could introduce the Dead Boy Detectives, which would be pretty cool in my book. This rumour comes from serial scoopster and supposed ‘insider’ Daniel Richtman.

The first question I suppose you’re asking yourselves is, “Who are the Dead Boy Detectives?” Well, I’m glad you asked. They are the ghosts of two dead children. They are Paine – murdered at his boarding school in 1916 – and Rowland – who was tormented by demonic spirits at the same school in the 1990s and when he died decided to stay on Earth with Paine and the two of them would go on adventures together.

These characters were created by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner, Charles Rowland and Edwin Paine and they debuted in 1991’s The Sandman #25. As you might have guessed, I’m a huge fan of The Sandman and Neil Gaiman’s and I love the idea of The Dead Boy Detectives coming to Doom Patrol in Season 3.

However, before I get too ahead of myself, I have to remind you that this is still a rumour at this stage. There’s been no official announcement of The Dead Boy Detectives coming to Season 3.

I really hope it does happen, but we’ll just have to keep our fingers well and truly crossed at the moment. I’ll let you know if there are any new developments regarding the next season of this DC Comics show.
