Doctor Doom is coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). We know that for sure. However, it’s been revealed that the iconic Marvel villain won’t be the main bad guy in the upcoming Black Panther sequel. There had been some reports suggesting that Doctor Doom would end up being the main villain in the movie. However, those rumours have been proven to be false.

According to Jeff Sneider, Doctor Doom is not the main villain in Black Panther 2. He revealed this during a recent episode of his podcast, The Hot Mic. There had been some reports that Doctor Doom was going to be the real villain behind Namor. Well, it seems like that won’t be the case. However, we were told that the villain would be introduced in the Marvel movie. We were never told he would be the film’s main villain.

Marvel Studios has literally just unveiled its plans for the next three years at San Diego Comic-Con. They revealed that there are going to be two Avengers movies to come: Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. These two movies will be released in cinemas in 2025. Marvel is pretty well known for teasing their upcoming films and villains with post-credit scenes. However, it feels as though things are going to be a bit different this time around.

Interestingly enough, during an interview with ComicBook.com, Marvel’s President Kevin Feige revealed how the post-credits scenes could build towards the next two Avengers movies. Here’s what he had to say on the matter:

The truth is, all of the tags are never just about the future. There are tags that are eating shwarma, Captain America saying you know you gotta learn patience, sometimes, you know, you wait for something that’s not worth it. So they are always fun for us. We don’t want everything to feel the same. So some of the tags will connect and some of them won’t.

Some of the films and shows will connect; some of them won’t. I think it’s just as important that we can have standalone introductory stories like Ms. Marvel, like Moon Knight, in addition to things that interconnect and build towards the larger story. A lot of what we’ve been doing has been building to this larger story, obviously with The Kang Dynasty and the Multiverse Saga, and now I think people will, I hope, come along for the ride. Both where it’s you’re on the express train to the finale, also when it’s fun, as many of our Phase 1, 2 and 3 films were.

Will he be introduced in the movie’s post-credits scene?

We’re going to have to wait and see whether Doctor Doom will be teased in Black Panther 2’s post-credits scene. According to our sources, the idea was to have the villain be introduced in the movie, and we’re just assuming that it would be in the film’s post-credits scene. I think it’s something that Marvel should do. We were also told that Doctor Doom was cast a while ago.

That said, there have been reports that Adam Driver was being looked at to play the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it’s also been reported that he’s in line to play Reed Richards in Fantastic Four.
