It’s been revealed that director Justin Lin has opted to leave Fast And Furious 10 (Fast X) and he’s cited “creative differences” as the reason he’s leaving.

This news was revealed via Fast And Furious’ Twitter account.

You can check out the tweet below for yourselves:

As you might have realised, Justin didn’t give a reason for his departure in this statement.

However, as per Deadline’s report, Lin left the project due to “creative differences”, which is an excuse often used in Hollywood.

Lin has directed a bunch of these Fast And Furious movies.

His first Fast movie was The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, which I stand by to this day.

Lin then went on to direct 2009’s Fast And Furious, Fast Five, Fast And Furious 6 and then returned to direct F9 (Fast And Furious 9).

In total, Lin has directed six Fast And Furious movies and his return to the franchise really help to rejuvenate it a bit.

The franchise was in a bit of a state before he came on board, and I really do think he made the best Fast And Furious movie ever in Fast Five.

The franchise has become kind of bonkers over time and maybe he might have felt that their ideas for Fast X was just a bit too much, even for the Fast franchise.

We’ll have to wait and see who Universal Pictures ends up bringing in to direct this tenth Fast movie.

They recently revealed that the franchise will come to an end with Fast And Furious 11.
