Death On The Nile Getting A Theatrical Release In China
Getting a movie released in China is not easy for Hollywood movies.
There’s a quota of films that are allowed to be released in the country every year (34 to be exact) and getting your film into that list is nigh on impossible.
There are a bunch of criteria that the film has to adhere to in order to be released in the Chinese market.
For instance, movies cannot feature ghosts, witches or any references to the Devil if they want to be released in China.
You also need Chinese partners in order to get a film released in China, meaning that a Chinese production company has to be involved in the movie.

This movie has been in all sorts of trouble over the years.

The movie stars and is directed by Kenneth Branagh, who stars as the great Belgium detective, Hercule Poirot.
He directed the first movie, Murder On The Orient Express, which ended up being a pretty big hit at the box office and with Poirot fans.
