Death On The Nile Rumoured To Be Released Straight To Disney Plus – Not In Cinemas

It’s being rumoured that the Keneth Branagh film, Death On The Nile, might be released by Disney on Disney Plus, not in cinemas. This rumour comes from Giant Freakin Robot.

This rumour comes after it was revealed that the Branagh-directed Hercule Poirot movie had been delayed by Disney indefinitely. They also delayed Free Guy indefinitely on the same day. The thing that stuck out to me was that Disney didn’t reveal new release dates for these movies.

This got people wondering whether Disney would opt to release at least one of these movies on Disney Plus, like they did with Mulan and they’re doing for Pixar’s Soul. The obvious contender as far as I’m concerned is Death On The Nile.

Death On The Nile is Branagh’s sequel to his previous Poirot movie, Murder On The Orient Express. He stars as the Belgian detective which was created by Agatha Christie. I thought he was actually quite good in the role.

However, there were some people out there who weren’t convinced by his performance nor by his movie, which he did also direct. It was a bit of a surprise to me when it was revealed that he would be getting to make a second Poirot movie.

That said, I do love the Death On The Nile story, and the film’s cast is even better than the first movie’s was. The film stars the likes of Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Tom Bateman, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Ali Fazal, Dawn French, Rose Leslie, Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunders, and Letitia Wright. That’s a brilliant cast. You just have to admit it.
