Christian Bale ‘In Talks’ To Play Batman In The Flash Movie

Now, this is an interesting turn of events. It seems as though Christian Bale is now in talks with Warner Bros. Pictures to play Batman in The Flash movie.

This report comes to us from Giant Freakin Robot, so maybe take this ‘report’ with a big helping of salt.

However, it does have me wondering what’s really going on behind closed doors at Warners.

According to GFR, Warner Bros. Pictures is now courting Christain Bale.

A lot of this seems to have to do with the fact that it now looks like Michael Keaton is about to bail on The Flash movie.

Keaton recently revealed in an interview with Deadline that he now isn’t sure whether he will do the film.

What’s the reason for his seemingly sudden change of heart you ask?

Covid-19.

Keaton is very worried about Covid-19, and he seems to be especially worried about how things are turning out in the UK.

There are a large number of cases in the UK, even though the British government is desperately trying to get everyone vaccinated.

Things are just looking even worse now that there’s this whole scare with the AstraZeneca vaccines causing blood clots.

So, he’s not certain that he’ll do the movie at all, which is set to start shooting in the UK this August.

Perhaps things could get better by then, but Keaton seems to just want to focus on the projects he has going on now.

He also wants to remain safe on his ranch where there are no people.

I mean, it’s understandable. Keaton is now almost 70 years old. He’s 69.

He’s at high risk of contracting the virus and it could be pretty bad for him if he does.

We’ve already seen the likes of Tom Hanks contract Covid-19.

He’s better now, but it was touch-and-go for the actor.

So, they are now reportedly looking at bringing in Christian Bale instead.

It does make sense. Bale played the Dark Knight before, and he lives in the UK, so no hazardous travel involved.

We reached out to Warner Bros. for comment on this rumour. They declined.

What do you make of this report?

Do you really believe Warner Bros. Pictures is now turning to Christian Bale to cameo in The Flash movie?
