Chris Hemsworth has revealed that he really wants to make more Thor movies, but he isn’t sure what Marvel’s plans are for the character.
Chris Hemsworth’s Thor has ended up becoming one of my favourite Marvel characters, and I’m going to be honest, I didn’t think he was going to work on the big screen.
There’s also the fact that it didn’t look good for Thor after Thor: The Dark World which is easily the most forgettable of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. I often put in at the bottom of my Marvel movies rankings lists. It tends to occupy the bottom spot with Iron Man 2.
However, the first Thor and Avengers movies showed that there was something there and they had obviously cast the right man in the role.
Hemsworth then went on to really shine in Thor: Ragnarok, which is one of my very favourite Marvel movies. I felt the combination of Hemsworth and director Taika Waititi was a match made in heaven and I really would love them to do something else with the character in the future.
Thor’s future is a bit uncertain at the moment after Avengers: Endgame, however, it seems like Hemsworth isn’t done with the character just yet.
Hemsworth recently told Variety: “I’d still love to do more, to be honest. And I don’t know what the plan is. I feel like we’ve opened up such a different character. I feel more energized for the possibility of where it could go… But I’ll use that in other places and other characters if it’s the end here.”
However, by the end of the film, he becomes with worthy self again, and it looks like he’s going to be joining The Guardians of the Galaxy in their next film.
But, it’s still not certain whether they’ll be another Thor movie. I just hope they get to make another one and Waititi gets to direct it. I loved Ragnarok and want to see more of Thor onscreen, and I’m not just talking about his bulging muscles.
