When Will Castlevania Season 4 Be Released On Netflix?

Castlevania Season 3 was dropped recently on Netflix and many people are asking themselves – myself included – when Season 4 will be released.

The third season of the Netflix show ended up being the very best yet.

It was truly spectacular and pushed the boundaries of the show into areas I never dreamt it would go.

It’s easily the best video game adaptation of all time and a lot of credit has to go to the show’s writer, Warren Ellis.

Fans now really cannot wait to find out what’s going to happen next to our protagonists following Season 3’s incredible finale.

Alucard, Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades have seen some really terrible things now and it’s only going to get worse for them.

Castlevania Season 3 was brilliant!

I made it perfectly clear how much I loved Castlevania Season 3.

You can read my full thoughts on Castlevania Season 3 in my full review.

To cut a slightly long review short, I thought Season 3 really pushed the show into new realms both plotwise and as far as storytelling’s concerned.

It was a bit of a slow burn at some points, but it really pays off towards the end.

It’ll be interesting to see where writer Warren Ellis and producer and creator Adi Shankar come up with next.

Castlevania’s writer, Warren Ellis, revealed that Season 3 would be landing on the Thursday via Twitter.

However, he also revealed that people were already asking him when Castlevania Season 4’s release date was going to be.

That was quite amusing, however, we really do need to know!

When will Castlevania Season 4 be released on Netflix?

Now, Castlevania hasn’t been officially renewed for Season 4 yet.

But given how popular and well-reviewed Season 3, it should only be a matter of time before Season 4 is announced.

There was a pretty long wait between Seasons 2 and 3, and that’s to be expected given the fact that the animation is so intricate.

They also have some very famous voice actors involved in the project and it must be difficult to get everyone to record their roles.

If you take into account how long fans have had to wait between each season, it looks like we won’t see Castlevania Season 4 be released until the second half of 2021.

What with this whole Coronavirus situation, it might end up taking even longer.

However, there’s yet another problem getting Castlevania Season 4 to Netflix.

Adi Shankar is currently working on a TV adaptation of the Devil May Cry video game.

This is great news, but it means that we might have to wait until he’s done with that for Castlevania Season 4, which kind of sucks.

As for which voice actors will return in Castlevania Season 4, here’s a list of who we should expect to come back:

  • Richard Armitage as Trevor Belmont
  • James Callis as Adrian “Alucard” Tepes
  • Alejandra Reynoso as Sypha Belnades
  • Theo James as Hector
  • Adetokumboh M’Cormack as Isaac
  • Jaime Murray as Carmilla
  • Jessica Brown Findlay as Lenore
  • Yasmine Al Massri as Morana
  • Ivana Milicevic as Striga
  • Bill Nighy as Saint Germain
