It seems as though the main villain in Captain Marvel 2 (The Marvels) might have been revealed, and it would be great if this rumour turns out to be true.
According to Mikey Sutton over at Geekosity, Captain Marvel 2’s main villain will be Galactus.
Mikey’s sources tell him that The Marvels will see Captain Marvel (played by Brie Larson) and Nova will team up against Galactus in the movie.
Here’s what Mikey had to say about Galactus being the main or one of the main villains in Captain Marvel 2.
Captain Marvel and Nova will team up against Galactus in an upcoming MCU film.
That’s pretty straightforward.
So, as far as Mikey’s sources are concerned, the movie will see Captain Marvel and Nova team up against Galactus.
We also know that the movie will feature the likes of Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel and Zawe Ashton in a currently unknown role.
It was also revealed that WandaVision star Teyonah Parris will be back as Monica Rambeau in the movie.
Captain Marvel 2 could feature Galactus as its main villain
James Gunn introduced the Nova Corps in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, and it sounds as though they’re going to become pretty important in the MCU.
We haven’t seen Nova yet in the MCU, but it seems as though Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige himself are keen on bringing him into the MCU fold.
It sounds as though Captain Marvel 2, or The Marvels, will be the moment Nova is introduced to MCU fans.
I, for one, cannot wait to finally see him in live-action.
It’s been a long time coming.
As for Galactus, well, Marvel needs him really.
They need a villain on the same level as Thanos, and Galactus could be the perfect villain for them.
