Bryce Dallas Howard Reportedly In Talks To Helm New Star Wars Project

It’s being reported that Lucasfilm and Disney are talking to Bryce Dallas Howard about the possibility of the director helming her own Star Wars project.

This report comes to us from Giant Freakin Robot, but we have not be able to confirm their claims.

However, this all comes after her episode of The Book Of Boba Fett was released (Episode 6) and people thought that she showed a lot of potential.

Howard has directed episodes of The Mandalorian before taking on the sixth episode of The Book Of Boba Fett.

Both of the episodes she helmed on The Mandalorian were solid and it seems as though the Star Wars fandom is very behind the director.

There were calls to give Howard her own Star Wars trilogy – which I think is a bit too much.

However, letting Howard helm more episodes of some of the other Star Wars shows would make sense to me.

Giving her a while new Star Wars project to helm seems like a bit of a ‘jumping the shark’ moment.

However, if Lucasfilm and Disney have been impressed with her work on their Star Wars shows, then it wouldn’t surprise me that they might want her helming a new project set in a galaxy far, far away.

Is it the right time to give Bryce Dallas Howard her own Star Wars project?

It does seem as though Disney is really ramping up their Star Wars content.

It’s almost as if they see the Star Wars universe as their new Marvel Cinematic Universe (which it is basically becoming).

However, these things shouldn’t be rushed.

We have a lot of Star Wars content to come, and I’m excited for pretty much all of it.

We’ve got The Mandalorian Season 3, the Ahsoka Tano show, The Acolyte (which is the show I’m most looking forward to), the Obi-Wan Kenobi series and the Andor show.

That’s a lot of Star Wars content to look forward to in our future.

Now, the question remains, would this reported Bryce Dallas Howard Star Wars project be a movie or another series?

My guess is the latter, but I would love to know your thoughts on the matter in the comments below.
