Black Widow Is Still Going To Be Coming Out In Cinemas

Disney’s CEO Bob Chapek has revealed that Marvel Studios’ Black Widow MCU movie is still going to be coming out in cinemas on May 7th.

He revealed this during a recent earnings call and we got this news via Deadline.

Chapek said: “we’ll be watching to see the reopening of theaters and consumer sentiment in terms of going back to theater,” during Disney’s FYQ1 earnings call.

This seems to suggest that Disney is still planning on releasing Black Widow in theaters on May 7th.

I do believe that this is still dependent on how things go regarding the worldwide pandemic and the current vaccination program that’s going on the world over.

Hopefully, cinemas will be able to reopen in May, and people will go to watch the new Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.

However, I can help but be skeptical about that.

We’re still a long ways off from having everyone be vaccinated and I know that we only need a certain percentage to have received the jab, yet I’m still not sure people will feel comfortable going to the cinemas so soon after the pandemic.

I think we’ll have to wait at least until 2022 for cinemas to be reopened, and I don’t want to wait that long. I’m just being realistic.
