Letitia Wright Quits Twitter After Calls To Have Her Removed From Black Panther 2

It’s been revealed that Black Panther’s Letitia Wright has quit Twitter after there were calls to have her removed from Black Panther 2. I hate cancel culture, and I hate the fact that she opted to leave Twitter because of people demanding she be cancelled and fired from Black Panther 2.

That said, what Letitia Wright did was irresponsible and a bit silly really. If you don’t know what happened and why she’s opted to leave Twitter, let me explain. Letitia Wright tweeted out a link to a YouTube video on her Twitter account. The video was questioning whether we should take the COVID-19 vaccine or not, and there was a lot of homophobic and transphobic stuff in that video too.

People were shocked, as was I, and then Marvel fans were calling for her to be removed from Black Panther 2. On a personal note, I just wanted her to apologise, admit that sharing the video was stupid and then be done with it. However, she ended up making things worse by constantly tweeting at people and liking tweets calling for her to be removed from Black Panther 2!

The reaction to the Black Panther actor sharing this video has been strong. It ranges from people being really upset with her to some people actually agreeing with her. However, the overriding sentiment is one of anger and disappointment in the actor, which can also be understood.

There are many people who’ve commented under her post saying that they work in the health sector and have seen the struggles to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic first hand and are saying that her sharing this video is not helping. There are other people who are seriously questioning the content of this video.
