Ant-Man 3 Undergoes Reshoots One Month Before Release

Recent photos surface online showing Paul Rudd still doing reshoots of scenes for Ant-Man 3 just weeks before theatrical release. Twitter fan account PaulRudd.com uploads photos indicating that the actor is on set last January 6.

According to The Direct, this may not mean the production is in trouble. In fact, they say this could just be a continuity shoot.

There may not be that much to pick up from these photos except that it is before or after the main story. Because they showed a similar shot in the official trailer last year, this could be when everything is done.

Something to the tune of Scott Lang returning to the ‘normal’ unthreatened life, I guess. You know, those times in the story when once everything is solved, the characters go back to their regular unproblematic days before everything started to go haywire.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania launches Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Needless to say, it is a highly significant movie.

It brings Kang the Conqueror into the universe. In Phase 4, from the Loki series’ Season 1, the destruction of the Sacred Timeline makes it possible for all the different Kangs to come forward.

Many fan theories are online saying how the Bangle of Ms. Marvel and the Rings of Shang-Chi are keys. The very items that Kang is looking for.

Of course, we know that this movie sets up what is to come, which is the Multiverse Saga. Thus, so many key elements of the overarching story rely on this movie.

Coming to theatres this February 17th, check out the synopsis of the movie:

Super-Hero partners Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.

The movie stars Rudd as Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, aka The Wasp. Michael Douglas returns as Hank Pym, together with Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne. Jonathan Majors returns, this time entering the big screen as Kang.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania completes a trilogy under Director Peyton Reed. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Stephen Broussard produced the film.

I don’t think fans would worry about these pick-up shots for the upcoming movie. For one thing, this could just be either a promotional clip featuring a specific brand or maybe a minor end-credit scene.

Also, I am pretty sure that Ant-Man and The Wasp will survive the adventure. The same goes for the rest of their family.

Bear in mind that they will still have to face a bigger conflict, that being the upcoming Secret Wars. That being said, I sure look forward to even more engaging projects from Marvel Studios.

Even though Phase 4 has seemed to look ‘un-unified’, it did set everything up for the following phases. It was in Phase 4 that they were able to establish the Multiverse and the concept of Variants.

Now, if you can add the mutants fully entering the MCU, that would just be great. Even though they have hinted at this here and there, it still has yet to be fully “out there”.

What do you think of the new photos that appeared indicating additional, if not corrective, scenes? Are you worried about what this will mean for the MCU?
