Amber Heard Lawyer Burned By Ex-TMZ Reporter During Johnny Depp Trial

Amber Heard’s lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft ended up on the end of a pretty sick burn from former TMZ journalist, Morgan Tremaine.

Ms Bredehoft has become something of an Internet sensation since the start of the Johnny Depp defamation trial, and not for the right reasons.

Elaine has been making mistakes left, right and centre throughout this trial, but she’s never really been on the end of such a catastrophic burn from a witness at the stand before now.

The witness in question was former TMZ journalist, Morgan Tremaine.

Getting him to be able to testify was a pretty tough process for Johnny Depp’s legal team as TMZ did everything they could to prevent Mr Tremaine from testifying.

They invoked the first amendment of the United States constitution – the Freedom of Assembly and Petition.

However, the judge ended up allowing Tremaine to testify in this case as it was a civil trial and not a criminal one.

Tremaine’s testimony was interesting as it related to how TMZ was tipped off on all things related to Amber Heard.

Before I get into all of that, let’s go over how Tremaine burned Heard’s lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft.

Elaine asked Tremaine whether he was only testifying to get his 15 minutes of fame.

Here’s Tremaine’s answer to that allegation:

I stand to gain nothing from this. I’m actually putting myself kind of in the target of TMZ, a very litigious organisation, and I’m not seeking any 15 minutes here. Though, you’re welcome to speculate. I can say the same thing by taking Amber Heard as a client for you.

Wow. “I can say the same thing by taking Amber Heard as a client for you”.

What an incredible burn, and there was an audible and visible reaction in the courtroom to Tremaine’s burn.

Morgan Tremain then went on to reveal how they knew when she was going to be at the courthouse in Los Angeles filing her restraining order against Johnny Depp.

They even knew which side of her face the alleged bruise was on.

However, what Johnny Depp’s legal team really wanted to know was how TMZ ended up in possession of the video recording which was recorded on Amber Heard’s laptop.

This was the video in which Johnny Depp could be seen smashing kitchen cabinets.

He revealed that it was through a tip line and that the source had already been verified.

Tremaine revealed that it only took 15 minutes for the video to be verified and for TMZ to have the video’s copyright.

He indicated that this only happens when the video comes straight from the source or as he put it “B-list celebrities”.

Tremain also indicated that the celebrity’s publicists and lawyers are often involved, insinuating that either way, the celebrity in question would know about it.

The fact that the video was taken straight off of Heard’s laptop suggests that she definitely had a hand in it getting to TMZ in the first place.
