X-Men 97 Plot Synopsis Reveals The Main Villain

X-Men 97 is Marvel Studios’ upcoming animated series for Disney Plus, and the plot synopsis has revealed who will be the show’s main villain, and it’s going to be pretty sinister… So, it’s already been announced that Storm and Wolverine will be taking centre stage in the sequel to the X-Men animated series.

The original animated series was released in 1992, and it was a pretty big success for Marvel back then. It ended up being on air for five years after ending with five seasons, bidding goodbye to the iconic X-Men characters, including Rogue, Storm, Jean Grey, Gambit, and Cyclops, with the powerful telepathic Professor X (also known as Charles Xavier) as the team’s headman.

Since the show came to an end, we ended up getting to see the live-action version of the X-Men. The first live-action X-Men movie was released in 2000, and it starred Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Jackman then went on to play the character a bunch of times, and he’s about to return to the role in Deadpool 3.

Now, during Marvel Unlimited‘s X-Men: 60 Uncanny Years Live Event (via Collider), the show’s official plot synopsis was unveiled, and it teased that the X-Men will once again be battling against a formidable force. Here’s the show’s synopsis:

Storm and Wolverine try to continue the X-Men. Magneto comes in and wants to step up for Charles Xavier. Sinister comes in to try to end the X-Men once and for all.
