Wednesday Release Window On Netflix Revealed

Wednesday-Netflix-Series-Release-Date-Cast-Story

We finally have a release date/window for the upcoming Netflix series, Wednesday, which will see Tim Burton take on the Addams Family! This news was revealed in the show’s very first teaser trailer.

So, you can watch the series’ very first trailer via the YouTube video below. I must say, this trailer has me very excited to see what this series has to offer! It seems pretty darn good to me and quite dark!

The end of this official teaser trailer for the upcoming series reveals that the show will be released on Netflix this fall. This means that the show should be with us sooner rather than later.

We did theorise in a previous article that Netflix might want to release the series on Halloween, and it seems as though that actually might be their plan. They could release the show on the Wednesday before Halloween night, which would be on the 26th of October.

I actually think that would be a really good time to release this series, as it does look like it’s going to be quite a spooky show. And who doesn’t love watching some good Tim Burton content on Halloween?

I tend to watch movies such as The Nightmare Before Christmas, Frankenweenie, Corpse Bride and Edward Scissorhands on Halloween, or at least, during the Halloween season. I really do think this release strategy would be the best one to follow.

The series will star Jenna Ortega as the titular Wednesday Addams. She’ll be joined by Catherine Zeta-Jones, who will appear throughout the series as Morticia, Wednesday’s mother. Victor Dorobantu will play Thing, the severed hand and servant. George Burcea will play Lurch, the family’s manservant. Isaac Ordonez will play Gomez and Morticia’s son, Pugsley.

The series will also feature Luis Guzmán, who will guest star as Gomez, Wednesday’s father. Other actors that have been cast in as-yet-unannounced roles include Gwendoline Christie, Jamie McShane, Emma Myers, Percy Hynes White, Moosa Mostafa, Thora Birch, Hunter Doohan, Riki Lindhome, Joy Sunday, Georgie Farmer, and Naomi Ogawa.

Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday in the early ’90s films The Addams Family and Addams Family Values, will also appear in an undisclosed role. That’s exciting!

As mentioned above, Netflix’s new Wednesday series will be released this fall.
