WarnerMedia And Discovery Merger Has Its Name

WarnerMedia-Discovery-Warner-Bros

It was revealed a while back that WarnerMedia and Discovery were merging, but we didn’t know what they would be calling this new company.

Well, the official name for this WarnerMedia and Discovery merger has been revealed.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the new company is going to be called Warner Bros. Discovery.

Before this was revealed, there were many people saying that the new company could be called WarnerDiscovery.

I’m actually glad that they didn’t go with that name.

However, I’m not totally sure that Warner Bros. Discovery is any better.

I actually think that they should have come up with an entirely new name.

That said, Warner Bros. is such a recognizable name in Hollywood that I doubt they would have ever agreed to get rid of it entirely.

I also think that Discovery would have never accepted not to have their name in the company’s new name.

We’re going to have to wait and see what they opted to do with HBO Max and Discovery+.

There have been rumours that they might opt to merge both streaming platforms.

This would end up creating a super-streaming platform.

HBO Max has already done pretty well in its first year.

This is impressive considering the streaming platform still isn’t available worldwide.
