Warner Bros Considering Making A Live-Action Dark Knight Returns Movie

The Dark Knight Returns is easily one of the best Batman comics ever written. It was penned by the legend that is Frank Miller and people have been trying to bring it to the big screen for years.

Miller’s graphic novel is incredible, but it proven rather difficult to bring to the big screen for some reason. It’s a pretty ‘graphic’ graphic novel, and it explores some really adult themes.

However, Warner Bros. Animation did manage to make a two-part animated movie based on the graphic novel, which was incredible.

We’re now hearing, via We Got This Covered’s sources, that Warner Bros. Pictures is considering making a Dark Knight Returns movie, which would be really interesting.

That said, it was reported that Zack Snyder really wanted to make a movie based on Miller’s work, and he even mentioned at one point bringing Christian Bale back as the Dark Knight.

There are even elements of The Dark Knight Returns in his Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie.

He basically took some panels straight from the graphic novel and put them on the big screen, which was rather cool.

That said, I’d love to see a straight adaptation of the comic. We’ll have to wait and see whether they make it happen.
