WandaVision’s New Release Date On Disney Plus Revealed And It’s Coming In January 2021

It’s been revealed that the first episode of Disney Plus’ upcoming Marvel Studios TV show, WandaVision, will be released on January 15th, 2021. This means that the show was pushed back by a few weeks.

WandaVision moving into 2021 also means that there will be no MCU content coming out in 2021. I get that fans of Agent Of SHIELD will debate that fact since Season 7 was released this year. However, what I mean is that all movies and TV shows at the heart of the MCU that were supposed to be released in 2020 were pushed to 2021.

2020 was supposed to see the likes of Black Widow, The Eternals, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier and WandaVision all get released. However, they’ve all been pushed into next year thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic.

This news was revealed via WandaVision’s Twitter account. Here’s what they wrote in their post announcing WandaVision’s new 2021 release date:

A new era arrives. Marvel Studios’ #WandaVision, an Original Series, is streaming Jan. 15 on #DisneyPlus.

It really seems as though this show is going to drastically change the course of the MCU. A lot of the changes could be directly caused by Scarlett Witch who’s having difficulties dealing with her grief after losing Vision in the Avengers’ battle against Thanos. It’ll be interesting to see how the show changes things and what happens to Scarlett Witch moving forward.
