WandaVision To See James Spader Return As Ultron

It’s been revealed to us by a source who claims to have close ties to Marvel Studios that WandaVision will feature James Spader return as Ultron. This is something that I hadn’t actually heard anything about before now.

Full disclosure, this isn’t a source I’ve worked with in the past, but they’ve been able to offer me some proof that what they are claiming to be happening in WandaVision is indeed the truth.

So, I’m going with them on this one.

There have been a number of rumours making the rounds on the Internet suggesting that the likes of Mephisto and Quicksilver will be making an appearance in WandaVison.

We’d also previously reported that Doctor Strange will be returning in the show, and I’m pretty confident that will happen.

One name we hadn’t heard before that James Spader returning as Ultron because, well, Ultron was disposed of in Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

However, it seems as though Ultron will be making a comeback of sorts on the hit Marvel Studios TV show.

Here’s what our source had to say about James Spader returning to the MCU to play Ultron in WandaVision:

James Spader is going to be voicing Ultron again and he will be appearing in WandaVision.

I then asked the source for a bit more information on what Ultron might be getting up to in the episode, and they weren’t able to offer any more solid information on what Ultron would be getting up to. However, they did give us an idea of what could happen.

As far as I’m aware, Ultron won’t be coming back beyond the WandaVision series. All I can offer you beyond that is my idea of what will happen based on the information I’ve been given. It sounds as though Wanda will bring Ultron back in some form along with Quicksilver, but it’ll all be wrong. It won’t be the right version of Quicksilver, it’ll be Evan Peters’ version. And Ultron will be different also, but still voiced by James Spader. This will be a scene in which Wanda is trying to deal with the trauma of losing her brother, but it won’t go to plan. Again, this is what I believe will happen, but nothing I’ve been able to confirm yet.

I have to make it clear that what the source said about what could happen in WandaVision is speculative, but it sounds pretty plausible to me at least.

As for as more confirmation that James Spader and Evan Peters will be in WandaVision, they are both listed on Google as being part of the show’s cast.

You can have a look at the screenshot via the tweet above.

This doesn’t mean that it’s all official.

Google’s cast lists can’t be altered by a human, but they are done via the algorithm which goes through sites it deems to be reputable and then comes up with the cast list based on that information.

Google tends to be pretty much spot-on as far as these cast lists are concerned, but it does get things wrong from time to time.
