It’s been revealed by Tessa Thompson no less that her MCU character, Valkyrie, will have new powers in the upcoming Thor: Love And Thunder movie.

Thompson revealed this during a recent interview with W Magazine.

Here’s what she had to say about Valkyrie’s new powers in Thor: Love And Thunder:

She has weird skills, to be honest. She can sense when someone is close to death, and she takes them into Valhalla, which is essentially the afterlife. She can revive people. But when she revives people, sometimes she ends up in their body. It’s a weird thing. It can be quite erotic. And then she has superhuman strength and is essentially God.

So, it sounds like Valkyrie is going to be a bit like Death in Thor: Love And Thunder.

She’s going to be able to sense when people are dying – which might be important in this movie’s case as part of the plot is going to be about Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster battling cancer.

Therefore, Valkyrie might have a really important part in this fourth Thor movie.

It also sounds as though she and Jane might get quite close in this movie, maybe in an “erotic” way. We’ll have to wait and see.

Thompson’s Valkyrie has been a pretty important part of the MCU ever since her introduction in Thor: Ragnarok.

Valkyrie’s an interesting character both in the original comics and in the movies.

Tessa Thompson’s portrayal of her has been spot on.
