It’s being rumoured that Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) and Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic) could meet in the MCU at some point. This rumour comes to us from Daniel Richtman’s Patreon page.
Insider Daniel Richtman is claiming that Iron Man and Reed Richards will meet each other at some point in the MCU. However, Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige recently voiced his sadness that the two characters will never get to meet one another in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This came right after Robert Downey Jr. revealed that he’s done playing Tony Stark.
So, I’m quite dubious that Richards and Stark will ever get to meet in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The two of them have an interesting relationship in the comics, and it looks like we’ll never get to see it in the MCU.
Reed Richards could meet Tony Stark as some point in the MCU
However, Richtman is pretty adamant that they’ll make it happen in the MCU. There have been rumours for quite some time that Marvel is trying to get Downey Jr. to return as Stark in the MCU.
There are a lot of fans out there who would love to see him return to the role. We’ve already heard that Chris Evans is going to be coming back as Cap. However, that’s a slightly different case since Rogers didn’t actually die. He was just old.
