The Witcher Season 3 Release Window Revealed

The Witcher Season 3 has a release… window… It’s not quite a release date, but we now know when the expect the third season of the hugely popular Netflix series to be released on the streaming platform. This was revealed yesterday during the Netflix fan event, Tudum. Let’s explore what’s going on with the next season of the show all about Geralt Of Rivia.

The next season of the show will see Henry Cavill return as Geralt Of Rivia – everybody’s favourite Witcher. The series only just finished filming, and we now know that the series will be released on Netflix in the summer of 2023. It was also revealed that the show’s prequel series, The Witcher: Blood Origin, will be released on Netflix on December 25th, 2o22. It seems as though the prequel series has taken the main show’s usual release date slot on the streaming platform.

The third season is going to see the usual suspect back in the lead roles. We know very little about the upcoming season, but we do know that it will continue the story of Geralt of Rivia (played by Cavill), Ciri (played by Freya Allan) and Yennefer (played by Anya Chalotra). However, they’ll be joined by some new faces in Season 3.

It was revealed not too long ago that we’re going to be getting some new additions to The Witcher’s cast in Season. We’re going to see the likes of Robbie Amell, Meng’er Zhang, Hugh Skinner, and Christelle Elwin all join the show’s cast in the upcoming season. It was revealed that Amell would be playing an elven fighter named Gallatin. He will be leading an army of guerrilla Scoia’tael fighting on behalf of Nilfgaard. Zhang will be playing Milva.

She’s described as a human adopted by the dryads of Brokilon Forest who is a fierce and talented huntress. Skinner will be portraying Prince Radovid. He’s a royal playboy and the younger brother to King Vizimir (played by Ed Birch). Finally, Elwin will be playing Mistle who’s a member of The Rats, who are a gang of misfit teenagers who steal from the rich and give to themselves.

As for the upcoming Witcher prequel series, called Blood Origin, it will star the legendary Michelle Yeoh as Scian. She’s the last member of a nomadic tribe of sword-elves on a mission to retrieve a blade stolen from her people. She’ll be joined by Sophia Brown, who’ll be playing Éile in the new series. She’s a warrior of the Queen’s guard who leaves to become a travelling musician.

Laurence O’Fuarain will be portraying Fjall, a man born into a clan of warriors sworn to protect a king who instead sets out to seek vengeance. The rest of the cast of the prequel series will include Mirren Mack as Merwyn, Lenny Henry as Balor, Jacob Collins as Eredin, Lizzie Annis as Zacaré, Huw Novelli as Callan “Brother Death”, Francesca Mills as Meldorf, Amy Murray as Fenrik, Nathaniel Curtis as Brían, Zach Wyatt as Syndril, and Dylan Moran as Uthrok One-Nut.
