It’s been officially revealed that The Walking Dead Season 11 will be the show’s very last season.
This has been rumoured for quite some time now, but it’s finally official.
The Walking Dead Season 11 will be the last season of the popular zombie TV show.
This news was revealed via ComicBook.com who chatted to the show’s chief content officer, Scott Gimple.
Here’s what he had to say about the show’s future:
“It’s been ten years gone bye; what lies ahead are two more to come and stories and stories to tell beyond that,” The Walking Dead chief content officer Scott Gimple said.
“What’s clear is that this show has been about the living, made by a passionate cast, team of writer/producers, producers, and crew, bringing to life the vision put forth by Robert Kirkman in his brilliant comic — and supported by the best fans in the world. We have a lot of thrilling story left to tell on TWD, and then, this end will be a beginning of more Walking Dead — brand new stories and characters, familiar faces and places, new voices, and new mythologies. This will be a grand finale that will lead to new premieres. Evolution is upon us. The Walking Dead lives.”
The Walking Dead Season 11 will be its last
So, it sounds like this will be the end of The Walking Dead TV show, but not the TV universe it has already spawned.
Fear The Walking Dead will continue, and there’s also the other Walking Dead spin-off show, The Walking Dead: World Beyond.
The end of the main series will also lead into a new spin-off show which will be centred around Norman Reedus’ Daryl Dixon.
So, there’s a lot more to look forward to for The Walking Dead fans.
